What's wrong with the web

Actually, there's not very much wrong with the infrastructure and design of the web itself. It was designed with universal accessibility in mind -- in theory, you should be able to read any page using any browser. The problems begin when web authors inflict evil, thoughtless, or rude design upon the users of their sites.

You would think that this sort of thing would be rare -- after all, isn't getting people to visit your website the whole point? Unfortunately, there are a great many sites out there that do a disservice to some or all of their users in many and varied ways.
